A short story is not more than a simple tale portraying the protagonist or title character in a but captivating narrative that easily reaches its climax without going extending the details but keeping everything short and stick strictly for the main plot. In short stories, the author makes the targeted audience quickly acquainted and involved with the story's main protagonist(s), the setting, the setting, mission and the obstacle or antagonist that needs to be overcome or defeated.
